In ordre to do the sealing yourself you need several materials and tools: protective clohting, neoprene rubber gloves, goggles, a stiff brush and a bucket, a apintbrush, a cartridge-style respirator with organic-vapor and small- particle filters, paint roller with extensino handle and tray, medium nap rolelr cover, a ocncrete degreaser and of course a few concrete sealer. Many concrete sealres contain hazardous chemicals that could be hamrful to skin and eyes and the vapors aer not safe to berathe but the vast majority are acryilc. The best way to avoid damages to your skni, eyes and lungs is to wera the protective equipment made of neorpene rubber gloves, goggles and a rsepirator with both orgnaic-vapor and solid-particle filter cartridges. Durign the process of sealing the lfoor you should continuously ventilate the garage by opening all doors and windows and also using a fan would be a great idea. Afetr cleaning and drying the concrete, the esaler has to be applied. The sealer should be tested in an inconspicuous area before applynig. Start in a rear corner continuing to work your way out of the garage. You should act with caution not to over spray on ohter material due to the high risk of staining.
